Is your home safe? 26/May/09 (Business)

Many of us think that, once the mortgage is paid off (if ever!) then we are as safe as houses...but just how safe IS your home?
Not at all if you have no dependants and you end up requiring long term care! And this does not have to be a result of age. Look at the late Christopher Reeve; in his prime then he had a horseriding accident which meant he needed care for the rest of his life. If such a thing were to happen to you, would your home be safe for your loved ones to benefit from?
