Born in Sunderland (Yes a MACKEM!) lived in "The Land of The Prince Bishops" I enlisted into the Army after England won the World cup.(1966) when football was a sport!

Spent some 23 years in the Military telecommunications environment (ex WO1 (ASM) REME Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers.) Had the finest training money can buy and got paid to do it!

Engineering and management qualifications FIEE. MInstLM in addition to an BTEC (HND) in Business Studies. Decorated (not painting!) LS & GC(Long Service & Good Conduct), GSM (General Service Medal) NI, GOC (The Boss) (NI)Commendation

Some great tours (Military term for holidays in uniform!) and visited many interesting counties
Northern Ireland, Belize, Newfoundland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Berlin (whilst in divided Germany), Cyprus, Gibraltar, Malta, Belize, Denmark, Norway, France, Kuwait, UK other lands on breaks and holidays: Egypt, Israel, Greece, Jugoslavia, Italy, Czechoslovakia, Luxembourg and met many different nationalities and cultures. An experience which I will treasure for ever!
